This courtyard garden in the South End of Boston provides an immersive sanctuary that extends the intimacy and materiality of the interior living spaces outdoors. A translucent glass balcony meets the main level living spaces and provides an area for outdoor dining while allowing daylight through to the lower level living spaces and terrace beneath. Marble steps connect the upper balcony with a terrace at the lower level of the same material.
