Micah Stanek

Micah Stanek
Landscape Architect

Micah reflects and reacts on human-environmental relationships. He is moved by a belief that we inevitably affect our environments—equitably, sustainably, or otherwise. Micah is interested in how design processes can multiply social and environmental possibilities. He is also interested in our perception of our environments, and how we might tune in closer.

Previously, Micah taught landscape architecture and architecture at Washington University in St. Louis, where he also earned a Master of Landscape Architecture and Master of Architecture. Gateways to design were his undergraduate film study at Northwestern University and work as a docent and farmhand at Navdanya Biodiversity Conservation Farm in northern India. He also worked at SCAPE Studio in New York City and MU Architecture in Paris.
