Micah Stanek, PLA
Landscape Architect
Micah is a designer, storyteller, teacher, and researcher with an interest in all the different ways we look at and relate to our environments. At STIMSON, he contributes to projects with attention to social and ecological systems and adaptive design. Micah aims to reveal the latent potentials of sites, crafting immersive landscapes and narratives.
Previously, Micah taught landscape architecture and architecture at Washington University in St. Louis. He pursued a dual Master of Landscape Architecture and Master of Architecture at WashU, and upon graduation, he was named University Olmsted Scholar and received an Architecture Faculty Award.
Gateways to design were his undergraduate film study at Northwestern University and work as a docent and farmhand at Navdanya Biodiversity Conservation Farm in northern India. He also worked at SCAPE Studio in New York City and MU Architecture in Paris.
