Jiin grew up in Seoul, Korea, with an ancient stone wall in her back yard and Inwang Mountain in her front yard.

She found her way to landscape architecture via political science and theatrical set design - fields that tuned her into the powers of narrative, monument, and choreography.  She appreciates the backstage collaboration and craft that goes into building and managing landscapes and loves to be hands-on in the field.

Jiin holds an MLA from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, where she explored urban wilds and intergenerational schoolgrounds, biomaterials, soil remediation, and nocturnal gardens. Wetlands, nurseries, and boardwalks hold a special place in her heart.
