Gideon Finck
Associate

Gideon holds a BA in Studio Art from Wesleyan University and an MLA from Harvard University. As a student, he developed a lasting interest in the relationship between wild and designed landscapes, and was awarded a Penny White grant for his study of wilderness management in the US and abroad. He has taught landscape architecture in Harvard’s Design Discovery program and held a research appointment at the Columbia University Center for Resilient Cities and Landscapes, where he and his colleagues studied urban climate adaptation, lead studios and seminars, and organized workshops with government and nonprofit partners in cities around the world.

Gideon grew up in New York and New Jersey. He has a background in printmaking and typography, and spent several years working as a letterpress printer in a historic Manhattan printshop before pursuing a career in landscape architecture.
