Eric Schwartz
Landscape Designer
Eric Schwartz is from Raleigh, North Carolina, where his pursuit of a land ethic has taken him from the Davie Poplar in Chapel Hill to the Nantahala Forest of the Blue Ridge Mountains. He has led tree plantings in California with an urban forestry nonprofit and landscape and forestry projects for the city of Elkins, West Virginia. He took his Master in Landscape Architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
Informed by the deep bonds between people, plants and place, his work has been supported by the Penny White Project Fund at Harvard University (American Chestnut, Unbound), the Garden Club of America’s Moore Family Fellowship in the Making of the American Landscape (Shelterbelts Revisited), and a research fellowship with the Central Park Conservancy. Outside of the Princeton Studio he can be found on the road, driving blue highways while exploring the rich American interior.
